Freestones Residential Care Home
Freestones is a family run care home with the highest food hygiene rating of five (very good) and CQC rating (good).
Person centered approach to care in a ” home from home ” environment. We cater for twenty elderly residents.
This smaller number of service users means that highly committed staff are able to give continuity of care and devote proper one to one time with our extended family members.
Freestones is run by the second generation of a family who have years of experience, having moved from a nursing background into residential care.
The family have owned more than one care home and have increased the standards through out, because of this the home enjoys an enviable reputation.
Residents are encouraged and invited to bring in personal items of furniture and memorabilia in the form of photographs, ornaments & plants. All rooms conform to Social Service, Environmental Health and Fire Regulations
We have installed an up to date Nurse call system in every room throughout the whole building, this incorporates every facility for dementia service users.
Every room has the facility to provide digital free view and our two spacious lounges feature crystal clear modern wall mounted flat screen t.v’s.
The home is always undergoing some form of minor refurbishment in the way of redecoration etc. which is to enhance the already extremely high standards of accommodation.
Our cooks provide meals of an excellent home cooked standard, the choices of our varied menus promote a nourishing well balanced diet. If preferred, meals can be taken in residents own rooms.
Visiting entertainers, mobile library, buffet suppers, trips and outings, quizzes, board games, painting, bingo, videos, music, shopping trips, parties, reminiscence, current affairs & discussions – past times of each resident are encouraged and promoted.
