Havelock House Nursing Home is a family run nursing home in the quiet village of Polegate in East Sussex.

We provide a friendly and homely atmosphere for all our residents and visitors.

The home is situated at the foot of the South Downs and is only a few miles from Eastbourne Town Centre.

There are main line train station, buses, local shops and a range of other amenities are all within a few minutes walking distance.

There is ample parking for visitors at the front of the home.

The local church visit the home on a regular basis.

We have two local doctors surgery within walking distance with qualified GP’s available to visit the home if the need arises.

We welcome visitors at any time of the day.

The Residents

We cater for the Elderly, Infirm, Post Operative, Long and Short term resident’s irrespective of Private or Social Service Funding.

Friends and Family are welcome to visit at any time on any day, preferably avoiding meal times.

The large lounge is homely and provides Television, DVD Player, CD player and Radio for resident’s enjoyment.

The home also has a large garden which the resident’s can see from the lounge.

Resident’s are encouraged to personalise their rooms with small items of furniture, pictures etc to help them feel welcome and at home.

Any items brought into the home must meet the current Fire, Health & Safety Regulations.

Visitors are welcomed for short stays (subject to availability) there will be a charge for this, details are available from the Home Manager.

Our Cook provides a menu of tempting meals and desserts which can be adapted to suit individual tastes and requirements.

Resident’s can choose where they would like to have their meals either in their rooms or in our spacious dining room.

Visitors are welcome to stay for refreshments or meals (notification in advance would be preffered).

Hot and Cold drinks are available 24 hours a day for Resident’s.

Our large country style garden has benches that are shaded by two beautiful apple trees.

There is also have a green house where some of the staff are producing some home grown fruit and vegetables.

The resident’s can sit and relax and enjoy the fresh air and the beautiful scenery from the lounge through the large patio windows.
