Old Roselyon Manor Nursing Home
The Old Roselyon Manor Nursing Home, established in 1973, has earned an excellent reputation both locally and nationally. We also provide Care and Services in the Community, established in 1996-click here for more information.
All our care is structured to individual needs. We are a privately owned registered care home providing 24 hour Old Age Nursing Care and Palliative Care. We also provide Day Care and Respite Care services.
The Old Roselyon Manor Nursing Home provides a homely environment where the privacy and dignity of the residents is respected at all times.
The nursing home is set in over 2 acres of grounds in the centre of Par in Cornwall. The grounds are pleasant and cared for and service users are encouraged to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Our accommodation includes 20 single and 4 double bedrooms that are light, airy and tastefully decorated. All bedrooms have pressure mattresses, electric beds, nurse call systems, wash basins or en suite facilities, digital televisions and telephone points. There is a newly installed lift as well as a chair lift. Bathrooms have overhead hoists for ease of bathing.
There are two lounges, which are the hub of the home. The relaxed atmosphere allows service users the choice to have meals in their room, dining room, or lounges. All food is wholesome, tasty and cooked by our staff in our fully equipped kitchen. There are 3 choices for lunch each day, an individual breakfast and a wide variety for tea. We cater for special dietary requirements.
There are 2 surgeries close by and a GP will visit at our request. NHS specialists (Physiotherapists, Speech & Language Therapists (SALT), rehabilitation teams) are always available with advice and practical help.
Newspapers and periodicals are free. Hairdressers, chiropodists and beauticians can all be arranged. Care staff are kind, considerate and patient. We like to think of our Home as an extension of the service users own home–if you feel like a cup of tea, you can have one, whenever and wherever.
We have entertainers visiting at least every other week. Visitors are welcome at any time, day or night and are invited to stay for meals. Tea and coffee is always available.
