Rosemary Retirement Home

Rosemary Retirement Home was established in 1984 by husband and wife team, Norman and Rosemarie Smith. Over the past 30 years we have grown in room and resident size. We started off with only 8 rooms, and over the years we have expanded to 21 single rooms and a double room, in total 23 beds to the current day.
Both of the owners have a vast wealth of medical experience, Norman was a former lead Ambulance man, and Rosemarie was a former S.E.N. District Nurse. They are both dedicated to providing the best level of care for their residents.
Situated on the outskirts of Wollaston Village lies Rosemary Retirement Home, a family run home since 1984. We are Just a mile from Stourbridge Town Centre, but in the opposite direction we are just a mile from the countryside.
Our aim is to provide a relaxed and comfortable surrounding for the residents, with a ‘homely’ feel about the place. The residents are encouraged to bring as many of their belongings with them, in order to make their stay almost as a home from home experience.
Our residents are cared for by 22 carers, 2 cleaners and our cook. 62% of our carers have got their NVQ level 2 or 3 qualifications, with the remainder working towards theirs.
To enable us to provide the best of care for our residents, the staff undergo rigorous certified training courses. These include:
  • Moving, Handling & Hoisting
  • Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults
  • Medication
  • Infection Control
